    All SHORT lineup?

The passing of Little Joe made me wonder what the All-Time best short lineup would be. Requirements: the position must have been played by the player for at least 1 full season (130 games plus). Also, remember it's performance AND shortness. Example: Hank Aaron was 5'11", short for a MLB player, however, HOF RF Wee Willie Keeler was 5'4" and MUCH shorter than Aaron, so he makes the squad.

    Here's my lineup:

    C Yogi Berra 5'7"
    1B Steve Garvey 5'10"
    2B Joe Morgan 5'7"
    SS Miguel Tejada 5'9"
    3B Mel Ott 5'9"
    LF Rickey Henderson 5'10"
    CF Hack Wilson 5'6"
    RF Wee Willie Keeler 5'4"

    What are your guys' lineups?

    Re: All SHORT lineup?

I nominate Freddie Patek for shortstop, listed at 5'5".
...the 2-2 to Woodsen and here it comes...and it is swung on and missed! And Tom Browning has pitched a perfect game! Twenty-seven outs in a row, and he is being mobbed by his teammates, just to the thirdbase side of the mound.

Jose Altuve (5' 6") can give Little Joe a break when needed. Mookie Betts at 5' 9" should replace Rickey. Phil Rizzuto (5' 7") is the ss.

Is Mookie Betts a LF? Also, I think Tejada's offense knocks Rizzuto out, but maybe not since he's 2 inches shorter and has all the rings...

    Re: All SHORT lineup?

I'm sorry, I just have to fundamentally disagree that 5'10" is short. My cutoff would be 5'8" or shorter.

    Re: All SHORT lineup?

What is short nowadays? I’m over 5-11 and look over 6 with shoes. But yet you see people towering at well over 6-1 or 2. Women are getting taller on average. The 5-10 as average can’t be right anymore. What have they been feeding kids in the last 20-30 years.

Joe Morgan. Jose Altuve. Nick Madrigal. Looks like second base is covered.

Little Freddie Norman on the bump.

    Re: All SHORT lineup?

Building a short lefty rotation, we can follow Freddie Norman with Bobby Shantz at 5'6" and Harvey Haddix at 5'9
