No Arizona hitter has ever faced DeLeon (according to MLB.com). Hopefully, that works to his advantage big-time.

Worried about scoring runs with that lineup. Cast who is super streaky appears to have cooled off. Farmer is 1-11, we have Votto in the lineup and still at #3..

Am I wrong in thinking that Farmer has received too much playing time this early in the season?

Well, he did get that one hit that one time. Gotta keep him fresh.

India's probably pretty tired anyway, having played 8 whole games in a row.

Breaking news: the getaway day lineup is a thing, even this early in the season.

yeah, it's no surprise. but i would also add it's not really a true getaway day lineup ... other than farmer.

because we already know tysteve is going to be starting every third game at catcher.

Sort of a kinda sorta getaway lineup.

Also, India was really trying too much last night. It might be a good idea for him to have the day off.

I am guessing India is sitting because of his bad inning last night. I actually don’t think that’s a bad thing for a rookie, to keep him out of his own head.

yeah, i'm fine with it. it is funny how much bell loves farmer though. if not for bell, farmer might not have a job in MLB. then again, i do get his value to some degree. he's usually not a terrible hitter (been awful this year so far but very small sample) and it's hard to find a guy who can play SS and catcher competently. and other positions too like 2B of course. you could argue he's a solid utility guy, even on a good team.

but i believe the point was he probably plays too much and i agree with that.

Yeah, my real question is, what does Alex Blandino have to do to get more playing time?
