A 37 year old Votto that OPS’ .300 is going to be one of the worst players in baseball...
Coming into today, Luis Castillo is the 7th worst starting pitcher in MLB based off ERA and 20th worst in WHIP. His ERA is worse than some guy names Matt Harvey, and his WHIP is marginally better. Can you give Votto a couple weeks? He missed significant time in spring training and may take awhile.

He seems like a nice kid, but I am looking forward to guys getting healthy and bumping him off the roster.
[Phil ] Castellini celebrated the team's farm system and noted the team had promising prospects who would one day be great Reds -- and then joke then they'd be ex-Reds, saying "of course we're going to lose them". #SellTheTeamBob

imagine that for a guy who no one in baseball wanted.

Reading comprehension might not be your forte, but that’s ok. His OPS isn’t quite the worst, but I pointed out that defense, base running, and age are all factors as well. I suppose an argument could be made between Votto and maybe 2 or 3 other guys as to which one is THE worst...but I said he is “probably the worst” at this time.

Cool. So, all of those things still don't make him "the worst" and yet you think he is "probably the worst" based on two weeks into the season.

It's like I said. People can't have reasonable discussions about Votto's performance without some people trying to portray him as being historically bad and "the worst."

Eduardo Escobar wearing out the pitching, always liked him as a solid hitter. Not appreciating this though!
“I don’t care,” Votto said of passing his friend and former teammate. “He’s in the past. Bye-bye, Jay.”

Yeah the worst player in baseball doesn't have a bunch of 95 mph + hard hit balls.

Yeah. Let's not underestimate how difficult this is for the announcers when they are not at the park. They have to rely on instinct until the camera catches up to the action.

And, this is the honest to goodness truth. I was listening to the radio one time when Joe Nuxhall went into his elevated 'home run' voice with a "there's a high drive into right center" on a ball that was ultimately caught by the second baseman.

"Triple A" DeLeon has 5 Ks in two innings.

Some of you all need to get a massive grip. Maybe step away from the game thread for a week or two. Find some perspective.
Well, that's what those words mean. He was here. If they don't keep him, he will have been lost/subtracted. I headed out the door today with two shoes on my feet. If I don't return with them, I have lost them. If I do return with them, I haven't added them. ---M2
