Huh? Huh-uh. Oh yeah, uh-huh.

The shift sucks and I'm tired of watching the gimmick baseball it brings. Two fielders on each side of second base.

No it doesn’t lol
I don’t get it at all, people find the most arbitrary reasons to be upset about banning something that nearly objectively makes the game a lot more boring. Baseball is one of the only major sports that doesn’t have some kind of rule about how you can position your players.
It makes it harder for fielders to get to the ball if they can’t all stand where it’s definitely going to be hit? Ah well then why doesn’t football allow the defensive end to stand right over the quarterback before the ball is snapped? He knows that’s exactly where the ball is going to be snapped right?
It’s asinine. The shift sucks. Get rid of it.

I'm more concerned with increasing the amount of balls-in-play than where defenders position themselves. Is an infield shift ban going to increase the rate batters make contact?
That’s just a part of it, and it’s not just dead pull hitters. Is Votto a dead pull hitter? It’s drastically effecting left handed hitters. The result is hitters are trying to just swing for the fence every time. This has resulted in a ton of strikeouts and balls hit right at the 2nd basemen that is standing 50 feet into right field. It sucks and it’s ruining the sport.
What would you say.....ya do here?
I fail to see what’s interesting or exciting whatsoever about managers looking up a chart and then stacking all their guys in RF so every decently hit ball automatically turns into an out. I find the game to be a lot more interesting when there’s actual base hits and fielders have to actually try to make impressive plays.

And if it's an issue of it being too hard for hitters to miss gloves, I would prefer to go to 8 fielders rather than to dictate where each has to stand.
What if a team with great pitching and bad hitting moved the outfield walls to 550 feet? What that be cool too?
