    Jay Bruce Retires

Jay Bruce announced his retirement today. It would be nice (if he wants it) to do the ceremonial one day contract and retire as a Red.

I'd love to see Jay Bruce stop by Great American Ball Park on his way home from New York to Beaumont for a round of applause. He'll be back here at some point for his induction into the #Reds Hall of Fame

Gotta say I’ll always appreciate Jay Bruce

But man that one guy here who (deservedly) got a ton of flak for constantly posting about him kinda nailed it when he called him Ben Grieve lol

    Re: Jay Bruce Retires

He was both a great Red and a player who never quite lived up to lofty expectations. I vividly remember watching his debut and the 2010 division clincher. Seems like an all-around good dude. A well-earned retirement.

Dang, didn’t realize that Jay had moved up 5th all time in home run leaders among active players

    Re: Jay Bruce Retires

I always liked Bruce as a player, and he always came off as super genuine and down to Earth in interviews.

His hot and cold streaks toward the end were frustrating as a fan though.

Maybe him and Arroyo can start a band and travel the country or something.
