    Suarez and Homerunitis...

A terrible disease. He caught it two years ago by hitting 49 homers. He said going in to this season that he was going for 50+ this year. I cringed when i heard that. I haven't seen a swing from him this year that wasn't designed to hit the ball over 400 feet. I can see him striking out 250 times this year and hitting around .200. I'm afraid that what we saw last year was the new Suarez, not an aberration. He's become a sucker for the slider down and away. And an easy out. And this is not just me panicking early in the year over a small sampling. This is a replay of his entire season last year.

    Bench Suarez?

Is it time to sit him down for a few games? That last AB was the worst non-pitcher at bat I have ever seen in over 30 years of watching the sport. He looks lost at the plate. Literally trying to uppercut and pull everything.

As soon as Cast is back in there, I'd sit him a game or two. Then bat him 5th or lower when he comes back until he proves he can hit a baseball again. I have way more confidence in Kyle Farmer right now and that is not a statement I ever wanted or expected to make.

Cast back tomorrow day game after a night game. He 100% will not be in the lineup tomorrow. Unless he get 2-3 hits in this 2nd game.

I would bat him 7th or 8th after a couple (2 or 3) days off.

Pretty sad when his defense is the bright spot in his game.

I’d be looking to deal him. Waited a year too long and if we wait much longer at the rate he’s going, we wouldn’t be able to get a scoop of UDF ice cream. And it wouldn’t even have to mean they’re selling.

Pointless to discuss as they’re not going to do anything with him. Shame.

I thought the time was this off-season. I really did t think he fit before India emerged. He’s adding nothing at the plate. I’d almost roll with Garcia and see what Suarez could fetch to bolster the pitching and prospect pool.

    It's still quite early.

What's the problem? That's what we've usually been getting out of our SSs isn't it?

I don't think Suarez' stock is where it needs to be at the moment to acquire an established bullpen arm. Meanwhile, they still have that glaring hole at SS that they created, and can't seem to find a solution for. I don't doubt Garcia's glove; but color me skeptical when it comes to his bat at this stage.
