Yep. I am a person that would rather watch an absolutely horrible movie than a decent movie any day of the week. I’d rather watch Highlander 2: The Quickening over Apollo 13, for example. Maybe this is why I continue to be a reds fan. If you’re never going to have a chance of being great might as well just lean into being straight trash.

You said they would be lucky to bat over .800. They’ve both done it 4 times and they’ve both OPS’d over .800 the past 3 seasons combined. I’m done with this one, enjoy your evening.

Moose had a .799 OPS last year and it was 163 PAs. If you want to split hairs on that 1 point of OPS be my guest man.

Castellanos is barely 29 years old and has a much longer track record of being able clear that 800 mark than giving so much weight to the most recent 2 months of baseball he played prior to this year, and also conventionally discarding the last month of baseball he’s played in right now which he’s OPSed well over 900 lol.

This was all discussed in detail this winter. Plenty of analysis, plenty of specific names.

It's a crazy concept but some of us actually like talking about the fine details of baseball, such as the players who play it. Instead of doing a broken record act of insisting that the best bullpens are always the ones were the most money is spent, despite this not baring particular resemblance to the reality we live in. But then you accuse people of "accepting" the cheap bullpen and round and round the circle goes.

I wasn't on here much, guess I'll have to take your word for it. I could probably rattle off half a dozen names I was interested in seeing the Reds acquire but I guess you get something out of this whole cloak and dagger routine.

You could go back to being a Cardinals fan?

They have both been over 800 OPS several times before. 2020 season is not what you would base them finishing under 800.

I do think these managers talk analytics but still cling to old school this is my closer BS. At least Baker had a pedigree to fall back on.

Since you weren’t on here much, you might refrain from mischaracterizations of others’ posts. I assure you there was a robust and full discussion on this subject.

How strange is it the show Supernatural is always on the “popular on Netflix” list? Are there just millions of people out there watching Supernatural on repeat? Wtf?

Remember that year we started 3-18? That sucked. Just trying to think positive after a brutal loss.

You can’t act the way Garrett does and suck. Figure it out or shut up.

Check out the list. Look at those who signed for more than $3M a year. So far, way more misses than hits.

I wanted nothing to do with Garrett closing that game. Just get the W, get him work later.

You’ve been beating this dead horse about spending on the pen again and again but you continue to refuse to drop names. I understand that spending on bullpen arms is a crapshoot but you’d rather continue to complain as if it would have solved a problem.

On the plus side, tomorrow is a 12:30 start time, so the misery will be over quickly and we move on with the rest of our days.
