    Seriously?

How many games are our Reds going to continue to lose due to the ridiculously poor managerial decisions of David Bell? Front office/ownership going to continue to ignore this and let the players and fans suffer due to this ineptitude?

Amir Garrett is the reason the Reds lost tonight, not David Bell.

That's arguable. What's Garrett done this year to win the closer job? Carson Fulmer's actually earned it and I don't think there's a lot of doubt the Reds would have won tonight if Fulmer had closed.

I know these days I have zero confidence in Garrett when he gets on the mound. Coming into tonight his career ERA was already over 5.

I'm not sure how Fulmer's earned it considering most of his IP have come in blowout games. He's also a career 5.89 ERA pitcher.

You can dislike the fact that Garrett became the closer, but he's actually proven to be an effective setup man in the past and had a really good spring. Personally I would have went with Sims, but both were acceptable choices heading into the year.

The real problem is that the organization didn't bring in someone that's proven themselves in the closer's role, which is an entirely different animal.

Shocking, I know. We all know Davey to be a supreme tactician and leader of men.

    Re: Seriously?

Forget stats. It was clear that Garrett was having control problems all year. He hasn't had one appearance this year when he had decent control of his pitches. It was beyond clear he needed to get that fixed before closing games. Any manager paying attention would have understood.

Dude cares more about players feelings then winning. There are going to be plenty of better opportunities for Amir to work on it. This was so clearly not that spot that you have to question Bells competency. He really blew it with this one and unfortunately it ain’t the first time.

Yes but Sims, Antone, Doolittle had all pitched earlier this evening.

Not sure it was so unreasonable to let Garrett go to it. Three run lead, AG had a margin for error, though small.

AG needs to keep his mind on pitching rather than other issues.

    Re: Seriously?

Amir ever running his mouth on social media at other teams is embarassing. He's done absolutely nothing to allow himself to talk **** like he does, but his giant ego doesn't even allow him to see it.

    A clown.
