Now I'm not one who cares about lineup construction, but if I was... I would wonder why Stephenson always bats 8th when we have seen him do nothing but absolutely rip.

yea, if it was up to me, Stephenson would hit 5th in this lineup. Blandino would probably be 8th.
[Phil ] Castellini celebrated the team's farm system and noted the team had promising prospects who would one day be great Reds -- and then joke then they'd be ex-Reds, saying "of course we're going to lose them". #SellTheTeamBob

Classic Dusty. Can’t find his eraser so he puts in whoever plays 3B in the same spot. Good thing Juan Castro isn’t available.

All Blandino has done this year is rip too.

    Stephenson 2021 OPS - .952
    Blandino 2021 OPS - 1.226

This should have happened a couple games ago instead of thinking Farmer would get on a hot streak

Yep. .370 average, but Bell only pays attention to positions and a catcher must bat at the bottom of the lineup cause that's how baseball works. I mean, he's even hitting behind India? As they say on ESPN, "C'mon, man!"

I wondered the same. I'd flip him and Senzel.

I imagine Gray is on a 80 or so pitch count still. Antone, Garrett and DeLeon are the three relievers not used yesterday. Plus new guys Hembree and Hendrix.
I doubt Hendrix will get in if the game is close. They really need to ease him in use him in low leverage games. To see if he is going to throw strikes or not. His stuff is good enough if he controls it. Hembree has a very good spin rate.

Nick Senzel had two hits Wednesday. Those are his only hits since April 10.That 28 ABs with 2 hits. Dude is lost. He'd hit 8th.

Joey is hitting .143 with .200 OBP this year against lefties after hitting .178 last year. I'd have started Farmer and swap Joey in once we knocked Kim out of game.

Plus he hasn't had a day off yet. I agree. The best part of Farmer's game was hitting well against LHP.
