    Angels releasing Albert

    Albert being released today, should have called Mike Schmidt for advice.

    Reds sign him.

    He hits several big HRs off of Ryan Weathers when we play San Diego.

    “I don’t care,” Votto said of passing his friend and former teammate. “He’s in the past. Bye-bye, Jay.”

    This had to have been done with his blessing, right? Cuz he's got an in with another team? It would be a major slap in the face to deny that guy a final game.

    Man, I of course knew that his contract went badly for LA, but I must've missed that he OPSed .800 zero times after his first season.

    So, Price Albert has been canned?
    I'm not a system player. I am a system.

    Cardinals sign him. Suddenly, it's 2009 again, at least for six months. They win the World Series.

    Somewhere, Michael Hill celebrates.

    Albert Pujols wanted to be released if his playing time was going to be greatly reduced by the #Angels. He will get his wish. The #Angels notified Pujols that he will be officially released today, as
    @Feinsand
    reported.

    Holy cow. Did not think something like that would happen mid-season.

    He's supposedly a few years older than his reported age.

    Isn't he about 50 by now? Has lied about his age. Lied about steroids.

    I guess the tip off was when the AARP card was mailed to his stadium mailbox.

    Holy cow...I haven't seen him run the bases lately, but just watched a few of his attempts at going station-to-station. If Reds fans think Votto is slow...
