One last thread. Your favorite Reds home games you attended?

Attended close to 200 Reds home games. First in 1974. I actually have a record of the W-L record on paper. 12 games over. 500 101-89 and 2-3 on the road. I have saw every current NL and AL team play the Reds plus defunct Expos. Actually I have saw the Expos more than any other team. Mom was a huge Tony Perez fan. 77 78 79 saw every Expos-Reds home games.
Best games Saw Game 2 1976 WS Saw the Reds come from way behind and beat the Dodgers in the 70s with like 8 runs in the 8th inning did this without a single extra base hit in the inning.
Saw George Foster hit a walk off double against the Pirates and Tekulve a kid was getting on my nerves the entire game rooting for the Pirates. I was a kid at the time myself.
Saw a rainout against the Padres but the Dodgers lost that day and the 90 Reds clinched the division.
Saw many double headers. Reds never lost one split everyone except the last one. Won game 1 and come from way back in game 2 hitting like 5 Hrs In the last 2 innings to sweep the DH.
Saw Soto pitch a 1 hit shutout with like 16-18 Ks on the last day of the season. Infield hit in the 4th inning I believe by slowest Brave on the club Chris Chambless.
Saw Dunn hit a walk off HR against Cleveland [ Not the screaming line drive slam into the Cleveland bullpen] This one nearly left the stadium in 08.
Saw Mark Whitten hit 4 HRs against the reds. 2nd game DH. Reds won game one 14-13 or 13-12 in 10 innings.
Saw Seaver beat Ryan and Carlton both 1-0
What are some of your favorites?

I live up in Dayton and don't really make it to many games, but my wife took me to a game on my birthday this year (4/30) that ended up being the Votto 300 HR game, a Reds win and a pretty wild game in general.

Opening day 2005 was fun, Dunn hit 2 HR's and the loathed Joe Randa won it with a homer in the 9th.

I was at that game too. Reason I was there is one of my best friends was a Met fan (and shared Seaver fans) and we arranged it way in advance with his family. Awesome experience.

Only other opening day I got to see was a 2001? game against the Braves. It was when the chunk was out of Riverfront while GABP was being built.

1990 playoff game 6 against Pirates. The Braggs catch. Larkin doing Ozzie flip as soon as the game was over. Walking across the bridge to parking in Newport while listening to horns blowing everywhere are all memories I will never forget from that night.

I remember one time going out to the mound to talk with Bob Gibson. He told me to get back behind the batter, that the only thing I knew about pitching was that it was hard to hit.

I’ve been to a number of games, but Jay Bruce’s debut against the Pirates really stands out for me.

Doubleheader in Crosley field 1970. Reds won both games. One they tied in the bottom of the 9th (down by 3) on back to back HR by Johnny Bench and Lee May. Also, Hank Aaron got his 3000th hit in game 2.
All my posts are my opinion - just like yours are. If I forget to state it and you're too dense to see the obvious, look here!

The top home game is the Jay Bruce 2010 NL Division Championship walk off. The spontaneous street party walking up Main Street to Fountain Square after that celebration was terrific.

Lots of games from 1999 were great. The Reds had a knack for late-game heroics that year.

    Dunn's walk off grand slam.
    Bailey's second no-no.

Back in Riverfront I saw Jack Clark pull three consecutive pitches into the reds seats (foul) and then strike out on a changeup.

This 2010 game for me is a tie with the 1990 division clincher which I am sure you all are tired of seeing in my signature.

The 1990 one is where there was a rain delay and I was in the restroom and someone yelled out that the Dodgers had lost which cliched the division for the Reds. I had never heard so much yelling in a restroom. My girlfriend at the time and I got to watch the players use the field tarp as a slip and slide in celebration.

The attendance to the 2010 game was a fluke as my work sent me to a data system backup class at the CBTS boat. So cool hearing batting practice balls hit the window a couple times during the presentation. It was a thrill seeing Chapman warmup in the bullpen afterward then of course the Jay Bruce clinching homer. I would guess I was about 25 feet from where the ball landed.

Oh. yes, Chapman's first game was something.

Re: One last thread. Your favorite Reds home games you attended?

It's ok, I like these threads.

My favorite would be the last Reds game I attended as a kid, before high school hit, I got into girls, and the Reds took a back seat for a while until I got back into them in my 20's and everything was different. Except I don't remember when that last game I attended as a kid was. I was too busy being a kid.

Funny thing, we usually don't know when the last time is that we'll be doing something, while we are doing it.

So it's good to soak in whatever we are doing, while we are doing it, whenever we can.

    And Happy Mother's Day everyone.

Yes, I am especially glad I was chasing girls in 1982/1983 when the Reds were terrible.

I was at that game. Was in town for a bowling tournament and took in that game. What a fun night.
