yea, IF <big IF> Naquin plays over Shogo consistently, that shows the lack of faith the Reds have in Shogo.
Personally, I think I would pick Naquin too. He's probably a better player. I could be wrong though.

I was as unimpressed as I could have been with Shogo. I’m hopeful he’s going to look better this year. But gun to my head, right now, I’d say Naquin is better.

Shogo brings on base skills, good baserunning and awesome defense. Also those two don’t have to be either/or.

But yeah Naquin’s power potential blows Shogo away. Naquin is an all or nothing guy, Shogo feels like an every day scrum kind of player.

I am for giving Shogo a extended look. He was much better the last month of 2020. I think the team needs guys on base more than the pop that Naquin brings. Shogo adds speed and better defense as well. Naquin brings more to the bench than shogo does as well. If your down a couple have 2 runners on Naquin brings a power threat to the plate.
