My only "complaint" about Greene tonight is that it seems he is relying on that fastball a little too much. He's getting away with it, and cruising through the Biscuits' batting line-up, but the last hitter of the 4th inning sent one to the warning track in the deepest part of the park. Greene really needs to use his off-speed stuff, if only to get some work in. Give the hitters something else to think about.

“We know we're better than this ... but we can't prove it.” — Tony Gwynn

CHATTANOOGA - Stop me if you've heard this one before. Mark Kolozsvary with another hit. This time it was a double that drove home a run. 2-0 'Nooga. Alejo Lopez follows with a double. 3-0 now. Lopez is not hitting .429. And the rout is officially on. Jose Garcia brings Lopez around with a single 4-0 Chattanooga.

DAYTON - Miguel Hernandez homers (1) to bring the Dragons within a run at 4-3. And now Brian Rey hits a solo shot (5) to tie the game at 4 apiece.

CHATTANOOGA - A walk and a dinger off of Greene has cut the Lookouts lead in half. Hunter's pitch count is up over 80, suddenly. I'm would imagine this is his last inning of work. 5 IP, 2 H, 2 R, 2 ER, 1 BB, 7 K.
2 hits and 1 walk doesn't seem like it should result in 83 pitches in 5 innings. Hunter pounded the zone 83 pitches/60 strikes.

DAYTONA - The Tortugas are hitless through 3 innings, yet lead 1-0. I like it.

LOUISVILLE - It is over in Gwinnett, as the Bats have blanked them 4-0. Louisville improves to 2-4 on the campaign.

Ashton Goudeau was exquisite allowing 1 hit 5 frames.
Braden Shipley struck out 3 in his 2 scoreless innings.
    Brad Brach fanned 2 in a 1-2-3 8th.
Shane Carle finished things off with a shutout inning of relief.

Mark Payton (.360) and Scott Heineman (.318) each singled twice.
Dwight Smith, Jr. singled and walked twice.
Alfredo Rodriguez singled and stepped in front of a pitch.

CHATTANOOGA - The game has gone final in Montgomery, with Chattanooga doubling up the Biscuits 4-2. The win improves the Lookouts mark to 5-2.

    Hunter Greene was almost exquisite: 5 IP, 2 H, 2 R, 2 ER, 1 BB, 7 K. Only a two-out home run in the 5th marred his effort.
Michael Byrn came on to pitch 4 innings of one-hit baseball.

    Alejo Lopez singled and doubled.
    Robbie Tenerowicz singled and walked.
    Mark Kolozsvary singled and doubled.

DAYTON - is giving away some free baseball tonight. The two teams are knotted up at 4 after regulation. The Dragons gave the fans a bit of a thrill in the bottom of the ninth, but fell short.

With 2 outs, Quin Cotton singled, He advanced 90 feet on a wild pitch, and then proceeded to steal third. Eric Yang then walked, and moved to second because Lansing simply did not care. Quincy McAfee was hit by a pitch. And, suddenly, there was no more room for additional Dragons on base. So, they struck out Jose Tello, and extra innings was on the menu.

DAYTONA - If you figured that one hit and one run was probably not going to be enough; you figured correctly. Carson Spiers was exquisite in his start: 6 IP, 4 H, 0 R, 0 ER, 2 BB, 9 Ks.

Nick Hanson came on in the top of the 7th, and had just one job. Protect that one-run lead. Nick made a mess of things, giving up 2 runs. Daytona now trails St. Lucie 2-1.

DAYTON - I don't think this is going to turn out very well for Dayton. Lansing has scored 4 times and counting in the top of the 10th.

DAYTONA - Daytona scratches across a run in the bottom of the 7th to tie the proceeding at 2.

Danny Lantigua doubled and moved to third on an error. With two gone, Tyler Callihan strokes a single to plate the tying run.

DAYTONA - Those pesky St. Lucie Mets have snuck ahead in the top of the 8th. They lead 3-2.

However, the first two 'Tugas have walked to start the bottom of the 8th. And, that rally fizzled in six pitches. A strikeout and a double play later, and the game is heading into the 9th.
