This would be the best choice, IMO. It's not like NYC can't afford the third team.

A's were all but moved to Louisville in 1964, but other AL owners blew it up.

    Why not now?

Seriously....if they stay out West, would probably say Vancouver and or Portland would be best choices should it come to pass.

I believe there are better options for relocation but I bet they go to Las Vegas

I've always thought Vegas was next spot. I'd love to know how A's have spent $230 million on the new stadium before it ever got approved.

Ils doivent déplacer l'équipe à Montréal. Vive les Expos!

Las Vegas does seem like the only city that will pony up some cash for the billionaires, certainly nobody in Canada will.

I would love to see a team back in Montreal. It was always so much fun to see games at the Big O. Being able to park under the stadium for $5 was a fantastic bonus!

I would agree. I can see the A's going to Vegas and it probably makes the most sense.

MLB probably wants to get into the market seeing the success of the Knights, the Raiders sweet stadium deal and rise of online sports betting partnerships.

Fun trips to Vegas for out of town fans from April-September with 81 games a season. Works better than trying to time one of only 8/9 NFL Sunday afternoon games per year

Raleigh-Durham is still way too small and spread out for an MLB team even though it might work depending on the stadium location and if it is possbile massive TV rights could be leveraged across the Carolinas you may have a mid-market size team in a decade. I do think MLS should have chosen the Triangle over Charlotte

Not having an MLB team in NC continues to be a miss, but Charlotte would still be the most viable (current) destination. TV rights and not the gate drives the boat for MLB and Charlotte makes the most sense.

They aren’t moving East, they will stay out West because there are people out here that like sports too. TB and expansion can fill the eastern portion

1899, NL drops four teams, DC, Baltimore, Cleveland and Louisville. Since then Baltimore has gotten two teams, DC three and Cleveland one... shoot Milwaukee has had three.

Anyone that has ever been to the urinal that is the Oakland Coliseum will understand why the team and MLB support the move. It is easily the worst stadium in all of US major professional sports. Its an embarrassment to Oakland.

Cincy fans should hope that Oakland stays in Oakland. With a small market and cheap ownership, the Reds are ripe for plucking by a boomtown with big wallets. The stadium is nearing twenty years old, so at some point the owners will push for upgrades.
