The elephant in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame room is the absence of Reel Big Fish.

Dammit was a generational anthem for millennials. Blink wasn't the first band to tap into angst for inspiration, but for me and thinking back to my college days, they captured it better than anyone.
Folks are going to knock them for leaning so heavily into immaturity, and certainly their biggest radio hits apply. But their back catalog set the stage for emo to follow just a few years later.

IMO, it ceased becoming a Rock and Roll Hall of Fame a long time ago

Awful list of candidates, not that it matters since they don't usually put most of the top voters in.
Where we gonna go?
