I'm enjoying watching Farmer play well. This may be his only chance to show his ability to play every day and he's gonna bust his ass and do the best he can while in there. Kinda reminds me of guys like Kris Negron that'd give you a really strong 2-300 AB for one season.
If 2021 Reds are going anywhere this is a series they should win.

Per David Bell, Michael Lorenzen received some good news and was cleared to start his throwing.
“That’s the first step to getting him back."
I blame it on people treating the 162 game baseball season like it’s a 16 game football season. People get crazy with slumps and forget that there are a whole bunch of games remaining.
Guys can slump. It’s not the end of the world.

I was for sitting Suarez for a few games 10 days or so ago so he could work on the side. I am for finding a Hoffman replacement. Got the best they are going to get from him first 2-3 starts. It's all downhill from now on with him. His track record backs that up.
But yes it is a marathon not a sprint. The big 162 will have hot streaks. and deep slumps.
Michael Lorenzen (shoulder) has been cleared to start a throwing program.
Lorenzen will head to Arizona to begin the program. The right-hander has been on the injured list for the entire 2021 season while recovering from a right shoulder strain, but a recent MRI revealed that things are on the mend. He should help the Reds' pitching staff at some point this summer.
