13 hits through 5, that is a lot of contact. Look at the WHIPs on this staff, lots of hits and walks. So they get some strikeouts. Look, I realize I may be a little loose with my terminology for the standard use of that term, but strikeouts is not the only measure of missing bats vs. pitch to contact. Lack of command, high walks, high hits allowed...how about the pitching staff is hard to watch and are collectively not good at the job they are supposed to be doing?
