That's the second time this year with him that something supposedly minor ended up dragging on and on.

    Getting old blows.

He could have been close at one point then did something to make it worse.
...the 2-2 to Woodsen and here it comes...and it is swung on and missed! And Tom Browning has pitched a perfect game! Twenty-seven outs in a row, and he is being mobbed by his teammates, just to the thirdbase side of the mound.

This is far from the first time this has happened with Bell as manager. It is an internal problem, it just shows the overall stupidity of this organization.

SenzIL will join him in the next few days. Natural light gives him
    skin poisoning.

It looks especially dumb to have pinch-hit him on the 17th and 18th (walk and a strikeout) so now they can only retroactive the IL stint to the 18th rather than the 14th, costing him multiple days on the IL when he might be ready to go...

Bell isn't the trainer, he isn't the team doctor, and he's not the Head of Baseball Operations. When he's asked by the media what's going on regarding an injury, he is going to give the company line. I have zero idea why this is a Bell issue.

It’s astounding. This is a professional baseball team whose one job is playing professional baseball and they have absolutely no clue how to use the IL properly. It’s insane.

Minor, nagging injuries have got to be the hardest thing to make an IL decision on. If you put them on the IL immediately, and they are ready in a day or two, it's a disaster. If you wait to see if it heals in a couple of days, and it doesn't, it's a disaster. I really don't know what the best course is, and I don't follow other teams closely enough to see what they do with these types of injuries.

Yeah, it’s so dumb to use your best players to win games

It isn't a Bell issue, it is an internal issue ever sense Bell became manager. Bell definitely plays into those decision makings.
