    Bobby Nightengale @nightengalejr

Mike Moustakas will begin a rehab assignment for Triple-A Louisville tomorrow. He will likely join the #Reds in San Diego, David Bell said.

Farmer thinking of various ways that he can "accidentally" trip Moose and re-injure his ankle.

I'm getting the impression the Suarez as a full-time SS experiment is over. I think Moose, Suarez, and India might be in a little rotation and the Reds have some DH games coming up too. Farmer's spot is pretty safe, IMO.
"In our sundown perambulations of late, through the outer parts of Brooklyn, we have observed several parties of youngsters playing 'base', a certain game of ball. Let us go forth awhile, and get better air in our lungs. Let us leave our close rooms, the game of ball is glorious"

A healthy Moose only makes the linup stronger you would think. Got to move Suarez back to SS. Suarez has 14 HRs 33 RBIs. For as bad as he has been he is worlds better than Farmer with the bat.
Put Farmer in late in games you are winning for his glove over Geno's glove.

Suarez at this moment (mid-game) is hitting .169 with an OBP of .246. He makes outs 75.4% of the time. So his bat is nothing for us to write home about.

BTW, look at the composite stats, OPS, OPS+, wRC+. Suarez isn’t that much better at bat than Farmer this season. A little bit, sure.

I’d probably start Farmer at short for ground ball pitchers, Miley, Castillo, splitting the position for short term.

yes, I am not looking forward to that. I hope it doesn't derail the team.
[Phil ] Castellini celebrated the team's farm system and noted the team had promising prospects who would one day be great Reds -- and then joke then they'd be ex-Reds, saying "of course we're going to lose them". #SellTheTeamBob

Moose starting to feel like another Senzel. I'm guessing he won't be fully back until after the All Star break. And with the way the team has been playing without him, I wouldn't be inclined to rush him.

David Bell said Mike Moustakas had some soreness after playing in the rehab game last night. He's returned to Cincinnati, so it sounds like he won't be activated this weekend

One of Moose’s calling cards was durability. At the time.
