DAYTONA - For the 6th time in 7 innings, Daytona scores a single marker. Michel Triana and Gus Steiger hook up again. This time it's walk, stolen base and double.
Turtles lead 6-1 heading into the 9th.

I question if Chris Okey has gotten a hit in his career.
What would you say.....ya do here?
LOUISVILLE - Bats are gonna Bats. They were leading 4-2 heading into the bottom of the 9th. Braden Shipley came on to nail down the win. Four batters later, Louisville was walking off the field 5-4 losers. The loss drops their record to 4-10. What a franchise.
Riley O'Brien went 5.1, and gave up 2 earned runs.
Jose De Leon was next up, and pitched scoreless ball for 1.2 innings, striking out 3.
Josh Osich worked a 1-2-3 8th.
Braden Shipley faced 4 batters in the 9th, retiring none of them. Two hits, two walks and too bad.
Brantley Bell singled and doubled.
Cheslor Cuthbert singled, homered (1), walked and drove home 3.
This is the second straight game in which Memphis has scored 3 in the bottom of the 9th to walk off the field winners.
DAYTON - The Dragons hold off South Bend by a final of 5-2. They are now 10-5 in 2021. They gave up back-to-back singles to South Bend hitters to begin the 9th, and I started thinking that it was deja vu all over again.
Jacques Pucheu came out of the pen to hurl 2.2 scoreless frames.
Braxton Roxby went 1.1 shutout stanzas, striking out 3. Apparently, he is almost exclusively a breaking ball pitcher. The Dayton announcer said that in his first appearance this season, he struck out the side on 15 pitches, all breaking pitches. I listened for an inning tonight, and was nearly the same. I think I heard one fastball thrown.
Eddie Demurias went 1.2 innings and earned the save.
Dragons hitters notched 12 hits, all singles.
Quincy McAfee slapped two singles and stole a base.
Mike Siani had him a night - 2 singles, 2 bases on balls and a stolen base
Bren Spillane laced 2 singles, drew a free pass, and stole a base.
J-Train Willems singles and was hit by a pitch.

CHATTANOOGA - It looks as if Chattanooga is going to drop the second game of the doubleheader late. Leading 1-0 with 6 outs to go, Curlis gives up 3 runs via 2 bombs in the bottom of the 6th. Lookouts need 2 tie or 3 to take the lead in the top of the 7th.
UPDATE: Rally under construction for 'Nooga. Two singles (Tenerowicz and Schuyler) have placed runners on first and second with one out. The one out was the hardest hit ball of the 3. Baseball, right? Alejo Lopez looks at a called third strike. Ouch! Jose Garcia makes the third out, and that's all she wrote.
Chattanooga loses 3-1 and their record plummets (plummets?) to 9-6.
Connor Curlis tossed 5 scoreless, before tiring in the 6th.
Robbie Tenerowicz singled twice.
