The 2021 Reds are an embarrassment

went to my first reds game in almost 2 years today. what a complete embarrassment this team is. giants fans were literally apologizing to us. for us being a complete clown show!

something needs to change. this is not acceptable.

I haven't watched in a few weeks but I do keep up with their scores and peek on here every now and then. I knew before the season that this squad was going to be trash. I can't think of a single aspect of the game they are good at. They have a couple good players but as a whole are just terrible. Life is better after I ditched watching. Like I said before......they had a better team last season and didn't score a SINGLE RUN in the playoffs. How people attend any games at GABP is beyond me. 30 plus years of total ineptitude and no sunlight on the horizon either.

And there’s not much reason to buy this season due to the age of the roster, the lack of reinforcements in the upper minors, and the lack of play flex expected to be available next offseason. I hate to say it, but I think we’ve got another rebuild on our hands...

There are actually some pitchers in the Minors that they could bring up right now that would be better than those on the team right now. Santillan, Vlad, O'Brien, Brach, Lodolo and Greene. I'd take any of them over Hoffman or Fullmer right now.

They still don’t know how to draft and develop talent. Until that changes, it will be continual, extremely brief contention windows followed by rebuilds.

I don’t disagree, but none of those guys is moving the needle from a sub .500 club to over .500. It’s rearranging the deck chairs...

If the Reds could do what the Giants do, year in and year out, which is take B and B- prospects and turn them into everyday players, then they’d be much more relevant. The Reds can’t even turn blue chips into everyday contributors.

I’d wait until Votto and Moose are back healthy before making saying any final rites on this team.

Castillo looks to be turning it around and maybe even Suarez. Garrett and Sims seem to be back on track.

Lots of reasons to be at least hopeful.

Jose Garcia is also having a nice year at Chattanooga. AlfRod is also finally hitting at AAA this year. I'd consider bringing hm up just for his D at SS which has always been Plus to Plus Plus. Not sure why you wouldn't give him a shot over Payton our Shrock.
