LOL that the two biggest conversation pieces about the lineup (Suarez and Farmer) win the game for the Reds.

    More to come…

Bell says Suárez hitting leadoff “is something we can stick with for a while to help Geno… For the foreseeable future, we’ll stick with that."

Bell did the right thing. Lock down this win. Worry about tomorrow tomorrow. Sims and Garrett could probably be used again tomorrow if they are needed.
[Phil ] Castellini celebrated the team's farm system and noted the team had promising prospects who would one day be great Reds -- and then joke then they'd be ex-Reds, saying "of course we're going to lose them". #SellTheTeamBob

Yeah you save your best bullets and then don't need them for like a week.

Seems like the perfect time to use them, if ever

I agree that Bell did the right thing tonight. The nature of it puts the Reds pitching staff a little handicapped for the rest of the series.

I do not understand this complaint. By this logic, was the offense efficient because it only took solo home runs from two of our worst hitters and the other hitters saved up their hits for another game?

Joe Ross tonight who has had a 5 ERA or higher the last 4 years now....I'm sure he will channel Cy Young tonight.

He would have been well rested even if he had gone 1 inning on Sunday in the 9th of a one run deficit. They had a day off on Monday.

It is not a complaint, just a statement that because it took what it did to win the first game of the series, the prospects for the next 2 games may not be so bright on pitching. Each of the last 2 series, the Reds won the first game and lost the rest of the games in the series.

Ok, I still don't get your point. Antone will probably not be available today, but Garrett faced three batters and Sims one, so they would be available. Mahle only pitches every fifth day. Pitcher usage had nothing to do with the Brewers series lost, that was on subpar starting pitching.
