DAYTONA - Daytona now leads 9-6 in the top of the 6th. Carson Spiers, who was definitely on the ropes by giving up 5 in the first, is still on the mound. Nice recovery.

The Turtles have scored their 9 runs on just 5 hits. St. Lucie pitchers have been overly-generous tonight, handing out 12 free passes so far.

LOUISVILLE - Toledo tacked on an insurance run in the top of the 9th. They now lead 2-0 going into the home half of the inning.

All is not lost though, Freeman and Cuthbert lace back-to-back singles to start the rally. With one out, Alfredo Rodriguez singles in a run. First and second now, trailing by just one run.

Okay, how bad is this. Chris Okey pinch hits for Beau Taylor. Chris, I have gotten hits in exactly one game all season, pinch hits. Well, the outcome is completely predictable at this point. Okey goes down swinging, and the runner on second gets thrown out attempting to steal third. Rally over. Bats lose 2-1.

Finnegan (3), Alaniz (2) and Diehl (1) combine for 6 shutout frames.
Osich and Warren each allow a run.

    Narciso Crook walks twice.
    Nick Delmonico singles twice.
    Cheslor Cuthbert singles and walks.

Anybody know if he was throwing mid- and upper-90s again tonight?

Wild to me that Chris Okey is still in the org. The absolute worst prospect I’ve seen in my tenure as a reds fan. No hyperbole.
What would you say.....ya do here?

I listened to a couple of innings, and the Chattanooga announcer did say he hit 95 on one pitch. I don't know if he was consistently in that area.

In over 1100 plate appearances, Okey's line is .200/.272/.314/.586.

I don't know why but Gabriel Rosa and Jeff Gelalich are both names that always pop up in my head for guys drafted way too high that did absolutely nothing.
