Amazing that the Reds have managed to get as many catchers as third basemen in the lineup.
I hope Stephenson starts doing something with those ABs…..
What would you say.....ya do here?

Is Shogo hurt? Kind of a bummer he's still rotting on the bench and half his contract has already expired.

It is weird that he got a few starts, seemed to start heating up, and now can barely get a pinch hit appearance.
“I don’t care,” Votto said of passing his friend and former teammate. “He’s in the past. Bye-bye, Jay.”

Is ANY manager minors to majors putting the worst hitter in the league at #1 (because he will heat up any day now). No other Red has more plate appearances this year than Suarez.

Just freakin bat him #9 if you have no other option to play the field Tinker Bell must be giving Duh-sty a lesson on getting a guy 'warm'.

"It's really just a matter of time before he gets going" ... uhh it's June next week, tink
He hit the HR that decided the game but uh yeah

Bell must really hate Shogo. He should be batting 1st as he was starting to hit and would make it 2 run homers for either Winker or Castellanos rather than solo shots. And Naquin is coming back to earth.

Wouldn't be the first time that a manager falls in love with one player and seems to forget another player exists.

I get starting Naquin more than Shogo at this point, but Shogo is barely being used at all.

With Votto and Moose still out and other starters being either unreliable (cough, Suarez, cough) or just in for defense, Bell probably believes he needs Naquin's power potential in the lineup right now at the expense of Shogo.

The country of Japan is furious with David Bell...

Winker with a good job going the other way on a well placed 2-2 pitch on the lower outside corner.

At this point, I'm just glad they didn't sign Gergorius to a multiyear deal.

Stephenson with a good test of the 3rd baseman and he passed with flying colors to end the half inning with no damage on the scoreboard.

Brantley says Hoffman is not wild he just pitches off the plate, meaning on purpose.

Hoffman walks Soto. Probably a good idea tbh.

Seems like that pitch encourages the batter to beat the shift. I know you can't just pitch inside only though.

Never understood leaving that much space open on the 3B side.
