so you don't hit into a dp, for one reason.

Besides strikeouts, seems like Suarez should also challenge for most LOB in a season.
I understand why you bunt even with an out, to move them up and avoid the DP. I just don't think it makes sense with an almost automatic out coming up. To me it would seem having two bad hitters swing is better odds than having one bad hitter swing, even with the DP chance.

I can't disagree, when it comes to Suarez.
.149 batting leadoff... Even Hoffman has him beat at .167.
