Did David Bell once have bad sushi? Just trying to figure out his outright dislike of Shugo- two days ago he humiliated him by pinch hitting for him during a pinch hitting appearance. The guy is a contact hitter with a high OBP. He needs to play more than once a week to get his timing back.

And Tyler "the pumpkin" Naquin can sit for a while.

We’ve now reached the point where Kyle Farmer is getting scheduled days off.

Naquin has a .797 OPS in May, that's not much of a pumpkin.

Schrock, Blandino and Farmer....it's like picking the lesser of evils at this point. Can't wait for Votto and Moose to get back. Zero updates on Moose lately makes me think he is gonna be a while.

I'm a Shogo fan but its hard to hit a guy that has zero power and isn't hitting.

It’s the infield version of the triumvirate of Redus, Milner, and Householder is what it is…. Sad.

I don't get the constant calls for Shogo to play. I used to be one of them myself. But with what Naquin has done he has won the CF job. Shogo will not have 10 HRs in his career. He wouldn't hit 10 is he played every day for 3 years.
He is a okay 4th/5th OFer. Anyway you look at him he was a bad signing for a supposed cash strapped Reds team.

The Reds aren't "cash strapped", they are cheap. There's a difference.

That is why I said supposed to be. No MLB owner is cash strapped.

It makes sense to start Naquin more, but how can we say that Shogo isn't hitting when he barely gets any chances?

I mean yeah, he literally isn't hitting because he never plays.

Just to be precise, it was Hurdle, Milner and Householder. Redus came a few years later.

Hurdle only last the first couple of months.
