Nice save by India on that throw.
[Phil ] Castellini celebrated the team's farm system and noted the team had promising prospects who would one day be great Reds -- and then joke then they'd be ex-Reds, saying "of course we're going to lose them". #SellTheTeamBob

yea, I remember that, and getting so excited about him. Pretty impressive achievement. Not sure if it is still a record or not.

    TWO MILLION RUNS!!
Josh Donaldson scores on a double by Nelson Cruz for the Twins. That is run No. 2,000,000 in MLB history — unless someone else did it Shushing face. #2MillonRuns

I stand corrected. I thought Redus came in 1984, but in 1983 there was a Reds OF of Redus, Milner and Householder. Cedeno was supposed to be in there, but he was terrible as a Reds. Of course, he got good again when traded to the Cardinals

Householder is the first prospect I can ever remember getting hyped. I think Milner would have had a better career if not for the drugs. Pretty sure he was on the IL a bunch because he was snorting and they may have hid that fact.

Naquin needs a 12 step program for that low inside pitch

That’s as about as bad as an at bat as you can have leading off an inning.

Gary Redus hit .462 at Billings. It is the short-season, Minor League record.
The full-season, Minor League record is .452 by Bill Krieg in 1895.
The post_WW II record for a full season is held by Neal Cobb at .432.

Cobb compiled a lifetime .329 average down on the farm, and never sniffed the majors.
