LOUISVILLE - Louisville and Toledo have been single markers. Mud Hens lead at this point 4-2.

    Tony Santillan posted a quality start: 6 IP, 3 ER, 9 K.
Shane Carle was charged with an unearned run in the top of the 7th.

Mike Freeman singled, and with two gone Alfredo Rodriguez doubled him to tie the game temporarily at 2 each.

CHATTANOOGA - Chattanooga led 3-0 through 6, but Hunter Greene was reached for 2 runs in the top of the 7th. 3-2 is where things stand.

Hunter Greene is probably through for the game. His pitch count is at 101. 7 IP, 7 H, 2 R, 2 ER, 1 BB, 8 K.

TJ Hopkins singles, scores on a Lorenzo Cedrola double.. Cedrola danced home on Tenerowicz single.
Yoel Yanqui triples and Jose Barrero singles him home for the third Lookouts run.

DAYTONA - Game 2 - Daytona finds themselves on the short end of the scoreboard 6-3 after 5 innings.

Case Williams had a subpar effort. He was slapped with 5 runs (3 earned) over 2.2 innings. Williams has not struck out anyone over his last 2 starts.
Stevie Branche has struck out 6 hitters in just 2.1 innings. He has allowed a lone run.

Allan Cerda draws a free pass and races home on Garrett Wolfoth double. Debby Santana singles home Wolforth, and eventually scores on a force out.

    Hunter freakin Greene

    That’s it that’s the post.
“I don’t care,” Votto said of passing his friend and former teammate. “He’s in the past. Bye-bye, Jay.”

LOUISVILLE - The game is heading into the 9th, and that 3-game streak is still a possibility. Bats creep a run close on a triple by Errol Robinson and a wild pitch.

Alfredo Robinson is playing second, if that means anything.

CHATTANOOGA - The Lookouts now trail 4-3 as the Smokies hang up another 2-spot in the top of the 8th.

Lookouts are making some noise in the bottom half of the 8th. They have loaded the bases with one down. Chuckie Robinson singled, Lopez was issued a base on balls, and Barrero was hit by a pitch. Wilson Garcia lifts a sac fly to tie the game up. A strikeout for out number 3.

Games heads into the 9th knotted at 4.

DAYTON The Dragons have 4 in the books in the nightcap of their twinbill. Nothing is happening. Wink. Remember, they only play 7-inning contests in a doubleheader. This would really boost Noah Davis' career arc.

LOUISVILLE - No rally for the Bats in the 9th.

    Santillan pitched a quality game. 6 IP, 3 ER, 9 K.
Carle was charged with an unearned run in his inning of work.
Braden Shipley and Josh Osish each worked a shutout frame.

Mike Freeman with a bloop and a (free) pass.
Cheslor Cuthbert singled, homered (1) and walked.
Alfredo Rodriguez singled and doubled. (.313 BA - .820 OPS).

DAYTONA - Game 2 - They split a pair in St. Lucie. The Mets take the second game 9-3.

Manuel Cachutt made his 2021 debut and gave up 3 runs in an inning, all unearnd. Tortugas made 4 errors tonight, leading to 5 unearned runs.
The other pitchers weren't all that and a bag of chips either.

The sticks were pretty silent as well.

DAYTON - Game 2 - I jinxed it. Davis gives up two hits and a run in the 5th. Dragons trail 1-0.

UPDATE: Dayton loads the bases with one out, but can't push a run home. Still 1-0 in the top of the 6th.

CHATTANOOGA - Dauri Moreta works a miracle in the top of the 10th, to keep the game tied. He comes on with the bases loaded and nobody out. A force play at the plate, and 2 Ks put the kibosh on that rally.
The Lookouts then walk off in the bottom of the 10th. Alejo Lopez is the ghost runner to start the inning. The first hitter, Yoel Yanqui, singles to win the game.

    Hunter Greene was fabulous for the most part: 7 IP, 7H, 2 R, 2 ER, 1 BB, 8 K.
Nick Howard put in 1.1 innings of scoreless baseball and struck out 3.
    Dauri "Miracle Man" Moreta - 1 IP, 2 K.

Yoel Yanqui singled, tripled and walked them off in the 10th.
Jose Barrero singled and was hit by a pitch.
Lorenzo Cedrolla doubled twice and was hit by a pitch.

DAYTONA - Game 2 - We have something cooking in the bottom of the 7th. Singles by Hernandez and Urbaez, combined with a wild pitch, have Dragons on 2nd and 3rd with no outs. The deficit is cut in half as Victor Ruiz grounds out, but Hernandez slides home. One out, Urbaez on third base. Jacob Hurtubise is plunked while down 0-2 in the count. Runners on the corners. One away. Ugh. Siani pops to short. 2 gone. Juan Martinez LOOKS at a called strike three. Dragons lose a tough one.

LOL. Both managers have been ejected here in the 7th. No favoritism is being shown by the Home Plate umpire tonight. They are both sent packing.

    Noah Davis pitched too well to lose: 6 IP, 3 H, 2 R, 1 ER, 1 BB, 7 K.
Francis Peguero a scoreless inning with 2 Ks.

    Francisco Urbaez singled twice.

Dayton. Noah Davis was frickin filthy. I don't think he can throw the ball straight. That is all.
