Daytona - Bad news. Still just one hit for the 'Tugas in the game. Good news. They still trail by just one run. 1-0.

Warning! Warning! Farm system offensive implosion. Dayton - 1 hit through 4 innings. Chattanooga - 1 hit through 4 innings. Daytona - 1 hit through 6 innings.
Chattanooga - They now trail 5-0 after 5. Our old friend Ibandel Isabel has gone deep against his old teammates.
And now it is 6-0. John Ghyzel and Randy Wynne have come in to throw some fuel on the fire.

Daytona - Tortugas dent the scoreboard on a Michel Triana double, a wild pitch and a sac fly. Game tied at 1, heading into the bottom of the 8th.
Dayton - Dayton lengthens the lead by plating 3 runs in the 6th. They have assumed massive control of the contest, 7-2.
Dayton bats around in the top of the 5th. Hernandez singles. Bren Spillane then draws his 3 free pass. Francisco Urbaez doubles home a run. Jacob Hurtubise then follows with a run-scoring single. Mike Siani's double play ground ball brings in a third run. Quincy McAfee and Quin Cotton both walk before Alex McGarry is hit by a pitch. Eric Yang strike out swinging to end the uprising.
Siani is about another month of playing like this from being a high school baseball coach.
What would you say.....ya do here?

Chattanooga - At least they didn't get shut out. Down to their last strike in the 9th, Brian Rey doubles home a run. Lookouts didn't by a 6-1 score.
This recap will be quick:
Every pitcher that took the ball gave up runs, except for Julio Pinto. He shut down the Trash Rodents for one inning.
Chattanooga managed just 5 hits and a walk on offense.
Alejo Lopez singled twice.
Daytona - The 'Tugas are in the bottom of the 10th, trailing by one run. Gameday is on crack right now. So, who knows what's happening. Daytona needs one run to tie, and two to walk things off. Alright, they have things fixed. Runners on the corners with nobody out after a Thresher miscue. Sounds promising.
Dayton - Dayton was up at one point by a 7-2 score. Lake City came back with 6 straight runs to snatch an 8-7. Dayton then scores one in the top of the 8th. And, that is where things stand. 8-8.
Jacques Pucheu, who was nearly untouchable in May, has been jackhammered here on the first of June. 5 runs in 1.2 innings.
Michael Siani has delayed his trip to high school momentarily. He walked, stole second, went to third on a wild pitch, and scored on an infield single. Very 'Havoc'-like.
Daytona - It turns out that the promising rally in the bottom of the 10 consisted of an empty promise. A strikeout was followed by a walk to load the sacks. Another strikeout along with a pop-up crushed the hopes and dreams of the faithful down in Volusia County. 'Tugas taste defeat 2-1.
Four pitchers combined to allow ZERO earned runs, but it wasn't enough.
Evan Kravetz - 5 IP, 3 H, 1 R, 0 ER, 1 BB, 6 K.
Manuel Cachutt allowed no earned runs over 2.2 innings.
Luis Mey blanked the opposition for 1.1 innings with 3 Ks.
Rickey Karcher, fresh off the IL, allowed an unearned run in the 10th, while striking out 3. That ghost runner got him.
The sticks managed just 3 hits.
Michel Triana singled and doubled.
Allen Cerda tripled and hit a sac fly to drive home the Turtles lone tally.
Dayton - Lake City retakes the lead with a run in the bottom of the 8th. The scoreboard reads 9-8.
Rally? Eric Yang gets hit by a pitch to lead off the top of the 9th. A Michael Hernandez singles places runners on first and second, still nobody out. A strike out and a walk load them up with one out. This seems strangely familiar.
Jacob Hurtubise singles to the pitcher to drive in the tying run. Mike Siani strikes out. And then Quincy McAfee walks to put Dayton ahead.
It is 10-9 now, as the game moves into the bottom of the 9th.
Braxton Roxby is on to nail down the win. And nail it down he does, on 10 pitches. That's how closers should be.
Pitching, aside from Braxton Roxby, was not good.
Hitting wasn't really very good, despite scoring 10 runs. 3 HBP, 3 ERRORS, AND 13 BB can make your 5 hits look a lot better.
Jacob Hurtubise singled and was hit by an errant pitch.
Mike Siani walked 3 times, scored 2 runs, stole a base, threw out a runner, and committed an error.
Quincy McAfee walked 3 times.
Alex McGarry walked and got plunked.
Eric Yang walked and got plunked.
Michael Hernandez singled twice.
Bren Spillane walked three times.
Francisco Urbaez singled, doubled and walked.
