Dayton GM 2 Recap - It ends up that the Dragons are going to drop a pair to Lake County 1-0. Andy Fisher gives up more hits in .1 IP than Eduardo Salazar did in 6.0 IP. That is baseball.

Eduardo Salazar was stellar, allowing just 1 hit in 6 innings. He fanned 3.
Andy Fisher has had better relief outings.

    Quin Cotton walked twice.

Louisville GM 1 Recap - One bad pitch. That's all for the pitching staff tonight as the Bats double up the Saints 6-3.

    Bo Takahashi: 6 IP, 1 H, 3 R, 3 ER, 3 BB, 7 K. He was in complete control, until wobbling in the 6th.
Phillip Diehl, Josh Osich and Art Warren each hung a zero on the scoreboard.

Alejo Lopez doesn't seem to be fazed by the move up to AAA. He reached base 4 times. He singled twice and walked twice.
Aristides Aquino doubled and walked twice.
Dwight Smith, Jr. singled, doubled and walked.
TJ Friedl homered (2) and walked.

Daytona - The Tortugas trailed 5-1 as they stretched in the 7th, and then posted a 5-spot in the home half of the inning.

Gus Steiger singled, and Garret Wolforth walked. A balk placed the runners on second and third. Michel Triana lifted a sac fly for the first run of the inning. Allan Cerda's ground ball out brought home the second run. That left the bases empty with 2 down. No problem. Daniel Vellojin doubled and came home on a fielding error. Wendell Marrero then sent one over the wall (2) for runs 4 and 5 of the inning.

Daytona leads 6-5 as the game heads into the 8th.

Chattanooga GM 2 -- The Lookouts broke a 1-1 tie with 3 runs in the top of the 4th. Wilson Garcia walked and trotted home on Yoel Yanqui's home run (4). Hopkins and Tenerowicz both singled. Jay Schuyler's double down the line scored Hopkins, but Tenerowicz was erased at the plate. 4-1 Lookouts in the bottom of the 4th.

From redsminorleagues.com, Austin Hendrick was finally placed the 7-day IL. He was hit with a baseball on the thigh way back when. He is listed out with a left groin strain.

Urbaez continues to hit well. Top 10 in the league in BA, OBP (small sample). He's old for the level, but it's his first taste of professional ball-- and he's doing very well.

2B throughout the system have been pleasant surprises-- Rey, Urbaez, AlfRod, Callihan. Add Urbaez to the list.

21-year-old C Daniel Vellojin's last seven days: .333/ .400/ .533/ .933. Might be time to retire his right-handed batting stroke. As a LH hitter, he's .289/ .451/ .447/ .898. As a RH hitter, he's still looking for his first hit. This has held true across three minor league systems, fwiw. (Not that he's still looking for his first hit RH, but that he's much better as a LH swinger.) In 50 games in 2019 from the left side, Vellojin hit .344/ .466/ .473/ .939; as a RH hitter, he went .227/ .382/ .386/.768. In 2018, his LH swing OPS (.700) doubled his RH swing OPS (.345).
