I don’t follow. Are you saying the Reds could because they have the best offense in the NL?

imagine missing a chance to put antone in the game up 2-1 with one out in the 6th.

when hader on extreme rest is on the other side.

I think they said Sims had 6 scoreless outings in a row.

He gave up two potentially catchable balls. I can’t knock him over that.

It’s fair to say you need a K in that spot, but you really don’t with two outs.

You are saying only a good offense can score on the Brewers. Aren't the Reds a good offense?

Guess I just don’t get the blinding anger over this series of events. Castillo put two guys on with walks and the Reds went to their second best reliever to get the final out. Just didn’t go our way, the Brewers are a pretty good team. Not like this is one of those D’Backs games or something.

Suter shutting down this offense is more annoying to me
“I don’t care,” Votto said of passing his friend and former teammate. “He’s in the past. Bye-bye, Jay.”

Votto missed those last two by a foot.

LOL. Three hapless ABs down, 9 to go.

Maybe the Reds do lose this game, but saying that a 4-2 game is definitely over with 3 innings left to play is ridiculous.

I feel bad for David Bell. He’s unlucky. He makes perfectly normal, innocuous moves and they blow up in absolutely spectacular fashion. But yeah... Sims allows way to many base runners on the regular to pitch in that spot. Needed to be WHIP-champion Antone to finish the 6th and pitch the 7th.

We could start the 8th with the bases loaded and no outs and down 1-run... and our win probability against this team would be zero. Williams and Hader will not surrender an earned run the Reds in our lifetimes.

what do you want to bet antone doesn't end up pitching in this game? use your high-lev relievers when you can, or this will happen.

david bell fails on almost every aspect of being a good MLB manager. we all know why he has the job. and it sure as hell isn't that he's qualified.

The outfielders aren’t fast, but the conditions were wet. I try not to be the Game Over Man from “Alien,” even with the Brewers bullpen.

Oddly the Brewers bullpen is almost as bad as the Reds pen at letting inherited runners score.
