Reds are not bringing anyone up to fill Antone's spot until Santillan comes up Sunday to start.
What a "We give up" move by not filling his spot with literally anyone for two games.

They’ve done this before. I hate it. But it may be because of MLB rules, options and the 40 man roster. They might have to risk losing a player to get one up for these two game.Originally Posted by NebraskaRed

If Bell isn't going to play Naquin vs. a LHP. Then at least play Shogo. Can't wait for Aquino to be back. Then they will probably face 25 straight RHP and he will rot on the bench.
Shogo has done everything he can to show Bell that he can get on base and provide good defense. Bell just doesn't care.

Those last 4 in the lineup are B-R-U-T-A-L. Prolific out-makers all. Scott Heineman getting the nod today reminds me of this gem that used to pop in to my head every time David Bell pinch hit for Jesse Winker in the 5th inning back in 2019:

Last year Shogo was struggling, we could not score runs and did not matter how the pitching did we lost. Then Shogo started getting on base, we scored runs and Won games. Then the offense seemed to take off.
Youve got to play Shogo here. There’s at least some upside that I don’t see with Hieneman
Yeah, if you're Shogo and Scott Heinemen is getting more playing time than you are, there's no way you don't take that personally.
Last year Shogo had 183 PAs, only 23 against LH pitching.
Bell is a L/R percentages manager.
Shogo’s playing time this year vanished with the absence of a DH spot (for Winker). Otherwise Shogo would be the LFer against RHP.

The one good thing about this series. The Rockies pen is just as bad. There bullpen has allowed 1 more run than the Reds. And they are dead last in bullpen Ks
