Nice save by Nick Howard to give up two singles and then strike out the next three, curious to see if his success can continue when he hits AAA.

Daniel Vellojin is starting to intrigue me. Hit very well in the Dominican Summer League in 2019 and off to a hot start with Daytona so far, and he's only 21 years old.
“I don’t care,” Votto said of passing his friend and former teammate. “He’s in the past. Bye-bye, Jay.”

Daytona Regularly Scheduled Game Recap - The Tortugas take a pair today, winning the nightcap 4-3.

James Proctor had his night cut short, possibly by injury. He walked a batter in the second, and Gameday noted there was an injury delay. Proctor stayed in at that time, but came out after three innings. He was charged with 3 runs, but all were unearned. He lowered his ERA to 1.71.
Ian Koch was on a merry-go-round for 2 innings, but kept Palm Beach off the scoreboard. He walked 4 and struck out 4 over that span.
Luis Mey pitched hitless for 2 innings, punching out 3. For his efforts, he earned his second save.

Brandon Leyton singled and walked. He scored the winning run and drove home a pair.
    Leonardo Seminati singled twice.

Gus Steiger's 9-game hitting streak was snapped.

Fingers crossed SanMartin and Howard could be bullpen arms next year. Howard has had his (immense) struggles, but other big arm prospects have come back from that to make it to the show.
(Referring to Jack Hannahan signing with a Korean team)
Since there are no teams on the moon, I guess South Korea's far enough from Cincinnati to satisfy me.

I'm holding out hope that Cionel Perez can finally live up to his potential.
