    Garrett has got to go

19.1 innings, 8 HRs, 13 walks, and a 9.31 ERA. They gave him time to get straightened out and he's still a disaster.

I don't really care where he goes, if it's Louisville or out of the organization, but he can't stay anymore.
“I don’t care,” Votto said of passing his friend and former teammate. “He’s in the past. Bye-bye, Jay.”

Maybe, but he really didn’t pitch that poorly tonight. He was throwing strikes, his slider had movement. The home run was off of a good 0-2 pitch.

He's been bad.....but I still wouldn't get rid of him but no way do I put him in winning situations right now. Back end of the bullpen till the AS break. He's doing the best that he can but Bell just continues to mismanage relievers ala David Hernandez....its his MO at this point. Guy just doesn't learn....

I could and did accept this in April, sometimes you just get beat. It's now June 17th and he's still pitching like he did when he was a starter in 2017. It's not working.

Not a great line! Didn’t realize he was doing THAT bad with the long ball especially

I would be surprised if a guy with something resembling talent like he has just completely lost it overnight, even though he’s never really be nails either. I’d figure might as well ship him off to Louisville and see if he can get it together.

He's always seemed more like a thrower than a pitcher to me. You can only get by on that for so long.

he's worse at baseball than he was at basketball ... and he was really bad at basketball.

He was coming off of 4 scoreless appearances, and while his line is ugly tonight, I thought he looked the same as in those.

I agree with DocRed, just keep him out of high leverage situations if possible. Tonight, I don’t think Bell had any better options, though.

he's a complete headcase. we all cheered the 2019 pirates brawl (myself included) but amir is not right in the head. he should see a sports psycholgist (or someone even more serious than that) ASAP.

Nah that’s overboard, he’s just a competitive dude who also sucks at his particular sport. You’d think he’s Metta World Peace the way you’re describing him lol

this front office is mostly to blame. they put the worst bullpen in MLB (not an opinion, based on stats) so far in 2021.

I don't blame Bell. I blame Amir Garrett, his performance has completely cratered and he simply doesn't belong in a big league bullpen right now.

i think ron artest is far more grounded than amir garrett. one of them had a very long NBA career. one of them will not have a long MLB career.

    both former st. johnnies though.

Man if you'd have told me in 2015 what would happen to the careers of Amir Garrett, Robert Stephenson and Cody Reed...

Well I'd have probably believed you because I'm a lifelong Cincinnati Reds fan.
