Maybe the Reds should employ and “opener” to pitch to the first batter of each inning, when Santillan pitches.

We should walk Machado to set up the double play.... I don’t want to pitch to him here

Who here thinks the Pads are getting their money’s worth out of Machado?

Nice read and catch by Naquin even though people act like he’s current Adam Dunn in CF

Yes, that's two liners that had a fade back toward him that could have given him problems, but were handled well. And Brantley complemented him on his great accurate throw to 2B on an earlier double that was a hair late to get the runner.

I have always felt the biggest difference between a solid MLB pitcher and the fringe pitchers is the latter throws a few more terds per game. Tony is providing evidence of that tonight.

Why? So we can loose closer

(I spelled it incorrectly because it seems right in this sense)

Suarez weakly fouls off a first pitch fastball right down the middle. Jeez.

Due to the difference in arms, I'd rather have him in CF than Akiyama. Senzel runs balls down better than both, but can't stay healthy out there.
