Dayton - Lyon Richardson is, indeed, going for the Dragons. Not too well though. After striking out the leadoff batter, it has been single, walk, walk, wild pitch, walk. 1-0 Fort Wayne. Richardson has thrown 23 pitches with one away in the first - 11 for strikes.

Jose Tello, catcher, just does Richardson a solid by picking off the runner at third on ball four. LOL. Lyon then strikes out the next batter, and breathes a sigh of relief.

Louisville - This team needed a laugher. Their way, of course. They lead 12-2 with 6 in the books.

Riley O'Brien worked 5, giving up both runs. He struck out 8.

    Alejo Lopez is 4-5.
Six hitters already have multi-hit games.

Dayton - Richardson has settled down. Still only 1 run in 3 innings. He has punched out 7.

Jacob Hurtubise has the lone Dragons safety. He stole his 23rd base as well.

Dayton trails by that same 1-0 margin.

Dayton - Juan Martinez tripled and scored on a Mike Siani base knock. The game is tied up at 1 with the Dragons coming up to bat in the bottom of the 6th.

Lyon Richardson, who was seriously on the ropes in the first inning, turned a pitching 180. He has gone all six innings, allowing that one run. He struck out 10 along the way.

Dayton - Sometimes, when you least expect it, baseball magic happens. The Dragons load the bases with nobody out in the bottom of the sixth. Then, strikeout, strikeout and an 0-2 count on the batter. You are certain the rally is over. But, no, what is this? A line drive into rightfield and the rightfielder boots it. One run scores, two runs score, three runs score. Then a single. Then a double. Then another single. 6 runs in and counting, folks.

The game proceeds into the 7th inning with Dayton leading 7-1.
