John McAfee found dead in Spanish Prison

However, it is expected he will pop up at least once a day to remind people that he's expired and ask that they renew him for their own safety.

Sorry, that was in bad taste.

    Okay, I'm not really sorry.

It's alright. He was a terrible person.

I vaguely remember him from his appearance(s) on the Joe Rogan podcast.

    (It was a different time.)

John McAfee’s entire life is like if you asked a bot that only listened to the Joe Rogan Experience to write a screenplay for Heart of Darkness.

Did the clocks strike 13? Or was that Winston Smith.

I remember him being a sort of folk hero to that crowd. Probably part of the general vibe that eventually turned me off from listening to the show.

John was crazy in an entertaining kinda way. I hope someone makes a biopic.

Gotta be Robert Downey Jr or Nick Cage

I would pay way too much money to watch Nicolas Cage play John in the biopic.

At least, he didn't die from a virus.

Anyone think he faked his death?

He would have had the resources to do so.

Not sure that is even possible anymore with DNA and all that, but Nic Cage's McAfee could pull it off I bet.

There's a good documentary that came out in 2016 called "Gringo." Obviously, it doesn't have his life's last act, but you get a very good sense of the bizarre life he was leading. It's really entertaining.

IMDB has a McAfee film in production called "King of the Jungle" with Zac Efron attached (not as McAfee).

He was a piece of trash; a vile, exploitative human.

Gringo was a pretty cool movie. Kind of reminded everyone that the shunned and cancelled Mel Gibson was still a good actor.

It seemed more like Die Hard than a documentary to me though.

Oh wait, that was Get The Gringo.

I think he could certainly have tried, but he'd be actually dead. McAfee was never one to do things the conventional way, including faking his own death.
