Farmer could have 2 broken wrists and he would still start at SS.

Considering who else is on the 26 man roster, who else should play?
...the 2-2 to Woodsen and here it comes...and it is swung on and missed! And Tom Browning has pitched a perfect game! Twenty-seven outs in a row, and he is being mobbed by his teammates, just to the thirdbase side of the mound.

Sonny Gray has been scratched from his rehab start tonight due to "back issues". It has been very tentatively rescheduled on 6/26.

Sonny Gray is throwing at GABP off flat ground with high intensity. A good sign.

Over last 15 days, Farmer has a higher average and OPS than Castellanos.

saving sonny for the games that count, perhaps? and he might have a tight back. both things could be true. (he's on the IL with a groin strain not a back, which i feel is perhaps good news).

Sonny has been dealing with back issues since last year, though. I ruined my back about 6 years ago picking up a reel of industrial cable. I wake up with back pain like 10% of days. He will never be the same, it’s why I wouldn’t have been upset if they traded him last offseason.
What would you say.....ya do here?

i also have a bad back. old baseball injury where i mis-timed my steps around third base (fill in sexual joke here, but i'm serious). have been to chiropractors. refuse to get back surgery (i have an inflammed disc, one chiropractor called it a ruptured disc). i'll go weeks with it being fine. then i'll hurt it doing something like ... sleeping.

it's touch and go for sure with lower back injuries.

so, with sonny, my point is we know he's going to be dealing with back strains popping up from time to time. i'm just glad he didn't re-injure his groin.

I’d go to an actual doctor, chiropractors are quacks. A physical therapist from the cleveland clinic suggested to me by a medical doctor saved my life. I tried going to a chiropractor first and I’ll say until the day I die he made it worse. My back was so bad, I couldn’t hold my infant son while standing up. Worst time of my life.

I was recommended to go to a chiropractor years ago. I wouldn't say he made my condition worse, but he didn't make it any better either. Then I went to a physical therapist, and they got me right.

The games that counted weren't on the field, they were the game of chicken the Reds lost in January when they failed to sign an actual SS and let their top 2 relievers go without any return. They also let Disco dance away. So Gray is just the icing on the cake.

#Braves manager Brian Snitker said Charlie Morton will be given an extra day. Sunday's starter is TBD.
