Officially a bullpen day for the Braves. Unofficially one for the Reds.

So the Braves have a bullpen day for today's game and a spot starter (I'm assuming) for Sunday's game.

In theory, that benefits the Reds, but we all know how this goes.

As someone predicted, Sims to the IL with a sprained elbow. Bringing the position player back that went down last to get an extra P.

Never seems to go how we feel it should. I would think they should at least be able to split this series though. Hope to see Antone and Brach a bunch. That usualy means they have the lead. I would go as far to say Brach for closer spot. If they plan on using Antone for more than one inning. I trust Brach.

Yea, who currently is there as the backup SS? I guess Suarez but who plays 3rd? Is Freeman the only utility infielder and if so why was Heineken recalled.

Give me an Atlanta series missing Fried, Morton, and at least one game of Acuña.

    Go Reds.

I saw Freddie Freeman wasn't having a quite a typical Freeman year but that didn't fool me, I know this story.

    Solo HR Freeman

Bought Bats tickets to watch Sonny and of course he isn't pitching. Nice way to get a bunch of people to come to game to watch crap. Bats are already down first inning. BS move by the Reds organization. No word on why Gray isn't pitching

Freddie Freeman absolutely demolished that. Ouch.

    1-0 Braves

Like taking batting practice for him facing Santillan.

I hate to break it to folks, but like some of us have been saying for years now - santillan = bullpen or whatever.

I agree, but not because he gave up a HR to Freeman. I also think he could potentially be good out of the pen.

He's not nothing but he's not really ready to face the Tatis' and Freemans' two-three times in a game.
