Yea, even the slow to react front office realizes the deficit the bullpen has been, even when they had (and overworked) Simms and Antone.
Probably dug too big of a hole by the time their inhouseness comes to fruition.

Great job by the pen in the win against the Padres. 2 2/3 innings and 0 earned runs.
Garrett, Brach and Warren the Reds #1-2 and 3 relievers in the absence of Sims and Antone were stellar.
And Lorenzen had one perfect inning of relief down in the Arizona Rookie League. Don't know if he'll pitch another outing there before the planned trip to AAA.

Bell handled the tight rope well tonight. Super close game and he pitched 5 relievers and all 5 were in the top 5 in my reliever power poll.

I'm starting to lean towards them putting Hoffman in the #5 spot in rotation. Which would lead to a pre-trading deadline pen of

Number 8 can be any number of guys. I want to see more of Perez. Right now he's my leading candidate.
That would leave Hendrix, Gutierrez, Santillan in AAA. And Greene and Lodolo in deep reserve. Since Hembree doesn't have options (I don't believe) he might bump Perez who does. Hembree might be traded. I don't see anyway Doolittle isn't traded. Some team might give us a scratch off Lotto ticket for him

Reds take the series opener against the Cubs, 2-1. Heck of a night for the bullpen, allowing one hit over the last four innings.
I just realized I have completely forgotten about Feliz. I find it hard to believe he'd break the top 8 on merit. If he gets healthy I hope he does a LONG stint in AAA on rehab.
