Castillo’s GB rate is up to 52%, his Velo is up, that helps his changeup, these are very positive for him.

He’s had some bad luck this year, his ERA is much higher than his FIP, his pitching BABIP .327 coming into this game.

Think the chemistry with Sadak and Larkin has improved, Barry's opening up more after being more reserved when the season started.

Anderson is suddenly his playoff self again but hey they've got 3 runs off him already.

It's my anecdote, but I feel like Castillo gets dinged a lot with weak grounders and bloops.

Maybe that's just the way it is for a GB pitcher with a poor defensive team.

And 88 pitches through 5. Maybe one more....but happy he's not going too much longer.

Hopefully similar to a few other games this year where he's a bit sore but good to go tomorrow.

    Shogo with the sno-cone!

Is it just me or did Castillo’s pitch count jump 15 pitches between innings? I swear in the 5th he was looking to go maybe 8 even 9 innings.

Cast coming up big for Castillo this inning!

That’s why I’d like to see Barnhart back with the Reds. (And Cast, of course.)

Heck of a defensive play all around to get the man at home.

I didn’t think Winker ran to first very well on his ground out before he was pulled. Usually seems to run harder.

Defense saves a run there for Castillo. Key to me, in addition to the India throw, and the Barnhart catch and tag, was the quick, firm, but not hard throw by Castellanos. Really took advantage of the good rebound off the fence with a very quick time from his glove to India's glove.
