Why is a guy who was crushing the ball in the minors come up to sit? Suarez and Freeman and Farmer have all shown an inability to hit major league pitching this season. Lopez needs to be in the lineup tonight. Bell needs to be on his way to Narronville on the Miley highway.

Tyler Naquin (right wrist soreness) has been scratched from the lineup. Shogo Akiyama will start.

Glad to see Farmer out of the lineup. He's a good backup utility guy to have on the bench but he should never sniff regular playing time.

And you think Bell is their biggest problem?
...the 2-2 to Woodsen and here it comes...and it is swung on and missed! And Tom Browning has pitched a perfect game! Twenty-seven outs in a row, and he is being mobbed by his teammates, just to the thirdbase side of the mound.

Right now, David Bell, rush chairman is introducing Alejo to Mohammed, Jugdish, Sidney and Clayton.

(I had to research the names)

If Bell wasn't the manager the Reds would not have lost a game this year. Fact.

I’m ok with Farmer while Moose is out. He has hit better than his numbers show. He’s not an everyday player but he’s doing a solid job filling in. He bats 8th and most teams have a weak hitter in that spot.

Agree. #8 hitters don't get the best pitches to hit in front of the pitcher. Not entirely sure if low #8 hitter BA is cause or effect.

Thankfully Miley is on the mound with this heat. Just grilled some chicken and was dripping in sweat.

I can’t believe Freeman is getting a start.

[Phil ] Castellini celebrated the team's farm system and noted the team had promising prospects who would one day be great Reds -- and then joke then they'd be ex-Reds, saying "of course we're going to lose them". #SellTheTeamBob
