Cubs signed LHP Tony Cingrani to a minor league contract.
Cingrani posted a 1.13 ERA and 14/1 K/BB ratio over eight innings for the independent league Lexington Legends in what was his first game action since he had labrum surgery on his left shoulder.
Isn't his Dad a White Sox fan? I remember he went to watch Tony pitch a game for the Reds against the Cubs. Said if his Son wasn't pitching he wouldn't be caught dead in Wrigley.
