Dayton Recap - Dayton loses 8-3.
Starter, Jacques Pucheu, acquitted himself well - 1 unearned run in 4.1 IP.
The bullpen stunk (Gilbert and Stockton).
Michael Siani singled twice and drove in a run.
Victor Ruiz doubled twice, hit a sac fly, and drove in a run.
Louisville Recap - The Masters of Clown Baseball jump ahead 2-1 in the top of the 10th. With a ghost runner placed on second, TJ Friedl walks. There is a wild pitch, and the runners move up. A Jose Barrero sac fly gets the go-ahead run across. Braden Shipley will try to hold on to the lead for dear life. He replaces Edgar Garcia, who only pitched a 1-2-3 9th inning, striking out all 3. So, naturally, he has to come out of the game. First batter is down on strikes, as Shipley is bound and determined to make me eat my words. The next batter walks, which is not terribly hurtful. It sets up the double play. Shipley gets out number two on strikes. I'm feeling pretty confident. And, out number 3.
Louisville wins in extras 2-1.
Michael Mariot worked 6 innings of one-run ball.
Brandon Finnegan, Phillip Diehl, Edgar Garcia and Braden Shipley each hold the opposition in check for one inning. Shipley gets his first save.
TJ Friedl reached base four times - two singles and two walks. He also pilfered a base (6).
Logan Morrison walked twice.
Mallex Smith singled, walked and stole a base (2).

Friedl adds some speed, OBP, and defense across three OF spots.
He does make Shogo superfluous, though.
If the DH comes back into favor, I'd be fine with he being added to the OF mix instead of Heineman or Payton.
