I wouldn't want him in CF then. The defense is bad enough as is. I would still trade Naquin if he could fetch a reliever. Not going to get a lock down reliever for him but team needing a OF with surplus relievers could work. Aquino could play regularly and would make up for Naquins power. Have to address the pen and I don't wanna see them give up prospects.

speaking of errors and such I'd take Tatis on my team 8 days a week but with all the dingers and flash there isn't a lot made out of the fact that he's a terrible shortstop

Garrett seems to have righted the ship and it'll be very interesting to see what transpires with him and the Cubs during this series...makes me very uneasy for some reason

And are we just completely forgetting Geno is awful defensively now?
Geno is basically league average defensively at 3B this year.

Anyway, if you want to argue that Lopez should be the Reds starting 3B over Suarez, you have a good argument. But it shouldn’t be based on one game, especially a game where he made numerous base running mistakes and a big fielding error.

He had 4 hits last night in like his 2nd career game. It’s insane to sit him. Insane.

Garrett has allowed runs in just 1 of his last 11 outings. Glad we didn't drop him...

It’s silly to play a player based on his 2nd career game.

Unless there is something about the matchups we don't know about, I start the hot hand of Lopez and keep Suarez as the bat off the bench. But not going to quibble too much about a healthy competition over the next week or so. Then I think Suarez is on the bench. Please prove me wrong Geno.

Well it was in the midst of Drew Stubbs going for the K record and starting 28 games in a row.

It's probably what the majority of managers do if they have a Eugenio Suarez, who they've already sat down for a few games straight, and an Alejo Lopez.
“I don’t care,” Votto said of passing his friend and former teammate. “He’s in the past. Bye-bye, Jay.”

Bell is managing. Everybody plays. No fretting about lineups.

Was afraid Gray wouldn't look sharp considering what a short rehab he had...glad to be wrong for now.

Ed Armbrister had 4 hits against San Diego in 1976. The Reds bulletin board was full of angry posted notes the next day when he sat on the bench.
