In the second half the Reds have 31 games against the Pirates, Tigers, Twins, Marlins, KC and Phils. Brewers only have 20 against those same losing teams.
And they’ve got 10 head to head with the Brewers to make up ground. Done with the dreaded NL West.

I like the looks of the schedule.

Only 4 back in the loss column of WC2.

We literally have 1 team to climb in the WC race...SD. And they lost tonight so we are 5 1/2 games back. And we've gained 3 games on them in 3 days as they have lost 3 in row.

The Brewers did really well against the NL West. So no, they’re real.

Reds have a winning record against the Brewers (a team you are declaring to be real) and swept them last time we played. Does that make the Reds real, too, or does this only work for other teams?

If the Brewers win 18 more in a row and the Reds win 38 in a row, it could be a dog fight in September.

I mean, if they sweep them the rest of the year they’ll be ahead of them. Easy peasy, right? As long as the Diamondbacks are in the rearview, we’re Gucci.

From where I sit, they’re a .500 team among a whole passel of .500 teams. We can outspend those teams at the deadline or outmaneuver them. Do you see this franchise doing either?

Likely? No. I just found the specific argument I was poking holes in weak.

From where you sit it should be they're a whole lot better than you ever thought they would be and maybe it's time for you to enjoy baseball for a change.

Ready for an 11 game losing streak for the Brew Crew now.

Do they play out the rest of the season against PIT?

Unless the 7 straight games they play each other beginning later this week get postponed by rain I don't think this is possible.

Take care of our business. Reds have gained 9 games on the Cards since May 30?

Even if the front office does nothing we have Moose, Senzel, Lorenzen, and Antone coming back with the possibility of call ups for Greene, Barrero, and Lodolo. I think we should add at least one good bullpen arm before the deadline, and I expect that to happen. Maybe there's a bigger move for a SS or SP, but I'm not holding my breath.

I guess I am of the opinion that its mighty nice to be sitting on July 4th and actually still be caring about baseball.

The culture of quitting is strong in this fan base. Doesn't help that the other local team also drives the failure train often.

Someday the Reds will be better than you think and fans hereabout will be ready to start planning for the next season. It's in the DNA, the strain must be destroyed

When the Reds win a World Series, I will be happy but it will also be sad to think of the fans who quit on the team mid-season and will never find out they won the World Series.
