At present they're 5-4 vs the Brewers .... and swept them last month in Milwaukee. Bring'em on!!

The sellers/buyers option is too simplistic. The Reds need to identify ways they can get better tomorrow with a deal they make today. They have enough pieces that they can get from also ran to contender with a few winning moves. That should be their trade market mindset.

I've been pretty upbeat about this team for the past three seasons. Keep up, yo.

I think they've gained 8 or 9 on both the Cubs and Cards since end of May. Brewers, you're next.

21-12 (.636) starting on Memorial Day.

They keep that pace for the rest of the season and that’s 93-94 wins.

    2-11 vs Padres and...Diamondbacks

41-29 vs rest of NL (.583)

Just maintaining that % against the NL for the last 79 games and thats 46 more wins for 89 total.

Boost that by just a tad and youre right there with Moose's projection.

I am not feeling it, but they should get the team some outside help and try and do it anyways.

MIL will have a rough patch eventually. Preferably from now through next weekend.

33 games is a decent sample size.

Just keep beating the Brewers head to head. But another big key will be when the Brewers go on a losing streak the Reds need to be on a winning streak.
You know both teams will have a few more winning and losing streaks before the season ends.

Re: With Milwaukee starting to run away with the division....

With Milwaukee at the Mets next, this KC series is another great chance for the Reds to gain some ground. I would love to see this thread still up in August with the Reds firmly in the race for the NL Central. 7 still seems like a lot. Get it to 4 or less and it will feel doable to me.

Also, I can only imagine how satisfying it was to be at GABP this weekend. Seeing Cubs fans leave extremely frustrated is awesome!
