    That is correct. Ross knew it just as well. Why burn your last bench bat to entice a worse matchup.

    After that, he was fine. Gave up a really fluky single on a good pitch, then got ahead 0-2 and had the hitter at his mercy protecting the plate and swinging at his killer slider down and in.
