2021 Ohio State Football

Saw a crazy stat today.....assume it was accurate. The last time an Ohio State team gave up as many points in 3 consecutive games as they have their last 3 games was in the 1890's!

Alabama - 52
Minnesota - 31
Oregon - 35

It's a new game. Probably 90%+ of D1 teams would have given up that many or more points against that same set of three opponents.

This is a good checkpoint for Day as he enters Year 3 with regard to assistant coaches and philosophy. They aren't beating Bama this year... After the 14 national championship run, Urban inexplicably hired too many mediocre coordinators and let them stay too long likely costing him another National title or two.

Saban has become ruthless on the assistant coaching front the same as he approaches recruiting. Day is going to have to respond. Interesting in that Dabo may also be facing that same checkpoint in being too loyal with long tenured coordinators.

Stroud looks much better here. It takes him a few possessions to loosen up every game. He needs to get that figured out
