No Kyle Farmer in the lineup today (he has started in 24 of the last 25 games). The Reds are facing a left-handed starter, and Mike Freeman is left-handed.
Suárez is the only other experienced shortstop on the roster right now, and he’s back at that position.

Obviously don’t mind Farmer out of the batting order and also don’t like Suarez at SS. Hopefully things continue well! Lineup looks strong but baseball doesn’t always care about that.

Were he to have done that over the course of the entire season, it'd be the second-best offensive season amongst National League 1B and fourth overall (behind Guerrero, Muncy, and Chapman).

Maybe David Bell thinks Lopez can get on base for the top of the lineup to drive in.

Yes but Votto is overpaid and no longer elite.
